Smart Irrigation Timer with WiFi & Bluetooth Options - Hose Attached
Smart Irrigation Timer with WiFi & Bluetooth Options - Hose Attached
Every show and movie we grew up with promised flying cars, jetpacks, trips to Mars, food replicators, and a cure for baldness. But all we’ve got is doom scrolling, Candy Crush and multi-billionaires riding phallic symbols into sub-space. It’s hard to not feel a little disappointed. Until you realize how advanced our home automation game has come with this magic little box. VerdeWise's Smart Irrigation Timer brings the full power of remote automation right to your hose-attached irrigation system. Not only does it make managing your water use more convenient, it even reduces overwatering. That’s because it connects to your local weather forecasts allowing for automated seasonal and weather adjustments like rain delay (finally, the internet makes itself useful). Other features include Alexa voice control (the future really is here), 15 separate watering programs, and options for WiFi connectivity via a smartphone app, or direct connection via BlueTooth. Maybe we didn’t get everything science fiction promised, but at least we got this…and didn’t get lizard alien babies. Whew! (IYKYK)
Some specs to pay attention to:
- WiFi option requires the included network hub (which you can connect a maximum of 32 timers to! Not sure why you’d ever need that many, but it’s good to have the assurance you can just in case.)
- Both WiFi and Bluetooth options run on 2 AA batteries (not included – not even the most futuristic scifi promises free batteries)
- WiFi option requires 2.4 GHz connectivity
- Remote functionality requires downloading and installing the automation App (available at the Apple App Store and Google Play)
- Alexa and Google Assistant voice activation via the App
- Compatible with ½” and ¾” hose faucets
- Not recommended for high water pressure over 110 PSI
